The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Villingen-Schwenningen, 15 May 2014 Nexus AG, specialized in hospital software, was able to increase sales by 12% and its result before taxes by 13% in the first quarter 2014. As a result, its long-lasting growth phase could be continued further. Sales increased from KEUR 16,604 (Q1 2013) to KEUR 18,596 in the fi rst quarter 2014 (+12.0%). The result before taxes improved from KEUR 1,662 to KEUR 1,878 (+13.0%). The sales increase in the Healthcare Software Division was 14.8% and amounted to KEUR 16,652 following KEUR 14,509 in the previous year. Sales decreased by 7% in the Healthcare Service segment in the fi rst quarter. The area recorded sales of KEUR 1,944 following KEUR 2,095 in the fi rst quarter 2013. The international share of total business volume was 45.9% (previous year: 42.9%). The result before taxes improved by 6.0% to KEUR 1,806 compared to the same period of the previous year (Q1 2013: KEUR 1,702). The EBITDA increased by approx. 6.8% to KEUR 3,460 (Q1 2013: KEUR 3,240) during the reporting period. The cash flow in the first quarter developed especially strongly. The cash flow from current business transactions reached KEUR 8,164 and consequently considerably surpassed the high value of the previous year of KEUR 4,547 (+79.5%). Liquid funds developed correspondingly. They increased by approx. KEUR 6,148 to KEUR 29,952 million compared to the end of the business year (31 December 2013: KEUR 23,804). NEXUS AG has equity capital amounting to KEUR 74,270.
